Two Vintage Featherbite Protective Mouthpieces Dental Sports Paperwork AMF Voit
These mouthpieces were likely made in the 1950s.  They were used as a protective mouthguard during contact sports. They were fitted to each individual and often entire sports teams were fitted with them.  In 1955, it is said that the Marine Corp ordered 9,000 for it's members to wear during contact sports.
Paperwork included provides info on individual and team fittings and a Statement of Insurance Coverage, as each "Featherbite Mouth Protector" was insured for one year from the date of purchase.
Mouthpieces measure approximately 2" x 2" x .75".
Fair condition.  Mouthpieces are discolored with brown spots.  Structurally in good shape.  Paperwork is folded and stained.  See photos.
