Scarce WWII Era Girl Scouts of America Beret in Olive Drab WoolProduct Description
ARTIFACT:
This is a scarce World War II Girl Scouts of America beret in olive drab wool. The Girl Guides, as they were first known, were established in 1912 in the United States and two years earlier in Great Britain. The beret has a hard-to-read maker stamp inside and has a bluish-green trefoil insignia in embroidered twill at the front.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Size tag cut out: approximately 9” by 8”.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Wool, twill patch embroidered in cotton/silk.
