RARE 1973 - 1980
Senior Girl Scout "HOLEY" BELT
In the early 1970s Girl Scouts modernized the uniform for the Seniors.
This belt has fondly been dubbed the
"Holey Belt" and allowed for adjustment to wear at the WAIST OR AT THE HIPS -
usually with the Tunic-style dress.
It was
offered for only a few years and is very hard to find
.
This one shows almost no wear, and you can clearly see the catalog number and the Girl Scout registered trademark. The material content is listed as, "Synthetic Leather."
This is marked a size 32, and it measures approximately 32.5 inches from end to end.   It has two knobs to fit into any of the holes that surround the entire belt.
Notice that there is no indication of it being a Girl Scout item on the front.
This was the trend in the 1970s, and the entire uniform had no visible sign of being a Girl Scout uniform - not even the buttons.
