You are bidding on a super nice original set of postwar Lionel #218 Santa Fe Alco AA Diesels that were cataloged from 1959 to 1963. These date from 1959-60. This set is in like new condition and has no problems or damage. The plastic bodies are flawless. The fragile front pilot bars have no cracks or repairs. The original paint still looks like new and has virtually no noticeable contact marks. The lettering is clear and bold. The decals are original and in perfect condition. The metal parts are rust-free and have excellent original finish. The powered unit runs forward and reverse with a 3-position e-unit. Features two-axle Magne-Traction, operating horn and an operating headlight. This locomotive has been tested and was found to be in running condition. The battery area is clean. Absolutely nothing is broken or missing and there are no reproduction parts. Comes complete with very nice original boxes that have no problems or damage. There is just a trace of light wear evident.
