Adult Girl Scout Uniform
1972 - 1983,
Mix and Match
This is by far the most comfortable and indestructible uniform for Girl Scout adults.
You can't beat 100% polyester for durability, and it was so popular in the 1970s.
It is truly wash and wear, never creases, never leaves stretched areas at the knees or seat!
It is clearly of the Hippie Era with the
psychedelic blouse and tie.

Please note:
I wear a current size 12.  The sizes were VERY different in 1970, so please pay attention to the measurements and my comments

TUNIC TOP:

Label says, Size 16,
but please check the measurements:
approximately 15.5 inches across the shoulders, 22 inches across the armpits, 27 inches from shoulder to hem with 2 inches tucked under, 19 inches across the approximate hips at the top of the pockets.  Fit my size 12 just fine!

PANTS:

Described in the catalog as, "soft green; modified flared leg; elasticized waistband."
The pants are very plain, but definitely BELL=BOTTOMS.

but please check the measurements:
Waist measures approximately 26 inches as is - and
42 inches fully stretched

Hips are 46.5 inches at the widest place.
Waist to hem is 41 inches with the original 2-inch hem.  Fit my size 12 with just a big baggie at the hips that the tunic covered completely.
BLOUSE:
Label says 65% polyester and 35% Cotton
Excellent Used Condition without spots, tears or fading.
Stated Size 10.... BUT, it fit my size 12 fine except the sleeves were short so I rolled them up.  18 " across the shoulders, 22" across the armpits.  24" armpit to end of cuff.  NOTE:  if you are busty, it might be too tight.
TIE:

Fabric is cotton with an orange, yellow and green stylized design.

Measures approximately 53 X 1.75 inches.  Shown as a headband in pictures.  Also works around the waist.

Very Good Condition with NO spots or tears.
This particular style is excellent and sturdy for any wear.
