Lionel No.41 U.S.Army Switcher w/Original Box/Insert. Here’s a nice example of the postwar Army switching locomotive that’s been cleaned, sanitized, completely serviced and test operated. The motor has been disassembled and the armature face and commutator slots have been cleaned and the brushes have been replaced. The worm and drive gears have been cleaned and lubricated so that pesky chatter that these are famous for, is no longer an issue. The direction/Eunit has been serviced so it cycles correctly and the locomotive runs great in forward and reverse. Cosmetically the cab is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and all the windows struts are intact. The lettering and numbers are excellent and the ornamental horn is nice and shiny. The magnetic operating couplers function perfectly so overall it’s in excellent condition. The original box has some stains as depicted in photos and some tape repairs but both end flaps are intact and the insert is in very good condition.
