Lionel Early 150 Electric Loco 152 Body MFG Motor Prewar O Gauge X7240

Description

Here is an unusual early center-cab electric on 6.75” frame, made mid to late teens. It has a dark green cab 5.75” long, and is stamped 150, has a pedestal headlight, but slots for a strap light, wire handrails. Early frame has pin-mount couplers, motor has Manufacturing plate and early triangle brush-plate, wheels are diecast. My impression was it was an early 152 stamped 150 in error. Another collector stated it was the earliest version of a 150, having the 152 size cab, made prior to 1918. The pickup is missing a roller, has new wire to headlight, finish has wear and overall bends/dents, corrosion on 1 side of frame. As is, no warranty, stalls, does not run, over 100 years old.
