i recently purchased a large collection of Lionel  items from a collector that had to retire to an assisted living facility ..
he purchased all of his items new when he worked as a college professor ..
here is a Lionel  # 6-8558 "the Milwaukee Road" EP-5 Electric Locomotive .. made from 1976 until 1977
tested on a 4 X 8 oval , ran great for 20 minutes forward & reverse with no issues . both headlights work ,,nothing seems to be missing or broken ..
