i recently purchased a large collection of Lionel  modern era locomotives from an Estate sale in Pennsylvania
here is a Lionel  # 6-8001   Steam Locomotive and Tender ..Tender
makes constant " choo choo , choo choo  sound ..
tested on a 4 X 8 oval , ran great for 20 minutes forward & reverse with no issues .   ,,nothing seems to be missing or broken ..Plastic shell
THIS ENGINE MUST BE RUN WITH A DC TRANSFORMER ,,the type used with HO & N Scale trains ..
