This lot offers a
Lionel 5344 - 700EW - Engine /Tender - ca 1937.
Overall the appearance is very good with a clean finish and strong lettering. Looks great on display shelves.  BUT - close examination shows significant problems. Tender is missing coupler, drawbar and pick up rollers. The tender truck wheels show some deterioration. The engine appears nearly complete missing only the drawbar pin. But the engine has suffered major damage from being dropped. The entire boiler is "Bent" as shown in our 2nd and 3rd photos. The overhang portion of the cab roof broke. It has been repaired as shown in our 9th photo. Also the front right side of the boiler cracked as shown in our 11th photo. The boiler front door is loose.  It does not run.
