Adorable puffin figurine with it's cocked head exuding character on a sculpted rock base.
Vintage G.H. COOK Co. Fine Art Sculpture PUFFIN Figurine. Ebay has a block that will not allow me to use the term for what this figurine is made of. Please see last photo that comes from another listing of a similar item from this maker which shows their sticker describing the man made material this is made from.
Figurine originates from the Pacific Northwest. I don't know the exact age of this figure. Some listings describe the figures from this company as from the 1960's. I can tell that it is definitely pre-1995 which is still vintage.The sticker shows an area code of 206 for Stanwood WA. 206 was originally the area code for the entire state of Washington. In 1995 Stanwood switched to area code 360. With all that said, it looks and "feels" older to me than 1995 but not as old as 1960.
Signed "Cook" on the base. Bottom has the original markers mark sticker as well as the original price tag which is fun.
Approx. Measurements:
6.25" tall
3.5" long
2.75" wide
Condition is "Used". This little guy has wear and tear commensurate with age. The paint is fading especially on the yellow beak and red feet. Body has some scratches and areas if paint loss. I feel that this wear adds to it's vintage appeal. Please review all photos provided.
