    Frank Lloyd was a Scottish-born film director, screenwriter and producer. He was one of  36 founders of
    the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and its president (1934-1935). Received 5 Best Director
    Academy Award nominations, including one in 1935 for
    Mutiny on the Bounty
    , starring Clark Gable and
    Charles Laughton. Won his first Oscar in 1928 for
    Divine Lady
    ; his second in 1933 for his adaptation of
    Noel Coward's
    Cavalcade
    .
