Description
This listing is for a spectacular custom handcrafted solid oak display cabinet. I commissioned its construction in the early 1990s to house my miniature bottle collection. It was the centerpiece and backdrop of the bar in my man-cave in Huntington Beach for many years and was quite the conversation piece.Friends and visitors would constantly bring me new bottles wondering if they would "make the cut" and be displayed. Painstakingly created by master craftsman, Robert S. Domzalski, t
he display will hold about 500 miniature bottles and really makes them stand out.
It has a mirrored back that enhances the perception of depth and shows off a small amount of the back side of the bottles.
It is 9 feet and four inches long, stands 39 inches high and from back to front (including the door) is 3 1/2 inches.
The four doors were removed for photography, but I put one back on (photo 6) to demonstrate how it looks all put together.
Each door can be "locked" though the locking mechanism is not visible nor is it obvious.
The shelves are spaced in such a way that each of the four compartments has seven shelves, each will accommodate items that are 5 1/16 inches tall, except the top shelves are 5 ¼ inches tall and the bottom shelves are 5 3/16 inches tall. The shelves are all removable and can be reconfigured to accommodate items over 10 inches in height if desired.
Each shelf can accommodate items that are 2 3/16 inches deep while still being able to close the door. The doors have weather-stripping to help keep dust out. Price includes all bottles shown in the photos (about 472).
The cabinet, without the bottles, shelves and doors, is very heavy. It will take two strong people to move it.
For this reason, too, it is being sold for local pickup only.
For reference, the item is in north San Diego County near the I-15 and Gopher Canyon.
