    This is a classic chicken that is made of tin.  It is 5 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches tall.  It is a wind-up bird, that will "lay" marbles when the wind-up mechanism is activated.  Marbles are dropped in at the top of the tail and they eject from the side.
    This chicken is marked "Baldwin Mfg Co Inc Brooklyn New York Manufactured in United States of America Patent No 2,151,330"  The marking is printed in blue at the back of the bird.
    The wind-up mechanism does not work.  If I drop a marble in at the top, it will not shoot out the side.
    Its color is in excellent condition.  There is no rust; there are very minor scratches in the finish.
    Marbles are not included.
