ANTIQUE china souvenir plate from
CARSON WASHINGTON
.  This is a very attractive plate, advertising for a GENERAL MERCHANDISE store in the small little Columbia River town of Carson Washington.  P
late that has a beautiful picture entitled
"
WINTER
"
with a rabbit making its way through the snow, on the banks of a small creek.  A true antique, over 100 years old!
Plate reads

", with a picture of a bow and arrow.
Condition
:  Plate has usual wear around the gold gilt edge, a shallow flake from the edge, only visible from the underside, , and glaze checking/crazing (age checks in glaze, surface only = no harm, all typical of age) which is not a detraction from value but a great testimony to its age.  NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.   In essence, this plate is in nice old rustic condition and really has the look of a century old plate, see pictures for overall condition.

Carson, Washington, is an old Columbia River town, located in South Western Washington.   Old C. F. Wetherell likely had this plate made to celebrate the opening of the store, or an anniversary of the store, to commemorate the existence of the business, or even given out to loyal customers.
Old souvenir china pieces like this are always very popular as
1) they have the name of a business on them,
2) have colorful scenes, pictures, designs, logos on them (this one features a winter scene) and
3) are easy to date by the maker's mark on the backside.
There certainly are not many antique advertising items from OLD Carson Washington, and this has got to be about as good as one can be
