Ann Harding was an American leading lady of 1930s romances. In 1929 she made her film debut
in
Paris Bound
, opposite Frederic March. In 1956, she again starred with Frederic March in
The
Man in the Gray Flannel Suit
. For her role in
Holiday
(1930) she was nominated for the Academy
Award for Best Actress. The film was remade in 1938 with Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant.
