GIRL SCOUT SENIOR SERVICE AIDE BAR PIN
RED
approx. 3/4"  x  3/8"
Has the "J" or "U" pin back
This pin was for "Service to Hospitals" in 1953 - 1974
then the title changed to "Service to Science and Technology"  1974 - 1979
This pin has a raised edge with red paint or lacquered center.
These little pins were easily lost and since there is no Girl Scout logo or markings, they are easily overlooked and/or tossed out.
And, it is rare to find these pins in really nice condition like this... the painted surface is easily scratched.
