Offered for your consideration is this Antique 1918 Faded American 48 Star Flag Advertising Plate from Mission Hill, SD with Embossed Scalloped Edging and a Pinwheel Like Etched Border. The faded gold writing has worn away in some areas which makes it hard to decipher but we can make out "YOUR FLAG AND OUR FLAG | COMPLIMENTS OF | ?? HERTY & CO. | MISSION HILL, S. D.| 1918"  This plate measures approx. 9-1/4" in diameter and is in quite distressed condition with crazing & a back chip & is probably only collectible to a family member or relative or collector of historical items. We have never had a plate before from the tiny town of Mission Hill, SD...& that is why we are listing this very used and scuffed item...in case someone originally from this town & is looking for a souvenir from it.  The back is marked "D.E. McNICOL | EAST LIVERPOOL, O".
